ost Sonos products can connect over both Wi-Fi
and
wired Ethernet, except for the following, which do not support wired Ethernet connectivity

Architectural Speakers
The Sonos app and all Sonos products need to be on the same IP subnet.
Best practices recommend:
Creating a separate VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) for Sonos devices.
Creating a dedicated SSID for Sonos devices.
Wi-Fi Encryption
WPA2 or WPA3 encryption is supported.
WPA/WPA2 Enterprise is not supported.
Guest Isolation
Networks with Guest Isolation are not supported.
Splash Page
Networks with Splash Pages or Portal Login Pages are not supported.
Multicast
Ensure that multicast is enabled on the network.
Internet Access / IP Ports
A High Speed Internet connection is required.
Firewall Ports that Sonos uses include:
TCP
80 and 443 (Music services, radio, and Sonos account)
445 and 3445 (Music library)
1400, 3400, 3401, and 3500 (Sonos app control)
4070 (Spotify Connect)
4444 (System updates)
UDP
136-139 (Music library)
1900 and 1901 (Sonos app control)
2869, 10243, and 10280-10284 (Windows Media Sharing)
5353 (Spotify Connect)
6969 (Sonos setup)
General Recommendations
Regularly update the firmware on Sonos devices to benefit from security patches and new features.
Keep detailed records of your network configurations, including VLAN settings, firewall rules, and any special considerations for Sonos.
